As a blogger and a content writer, I have loads of work in my hands, and for sustaining that work makes me tired and exhausted.

I think this happens with all of us? We have a lot of other things to do apart from that works because of that sometimes we compromise with our sleep, health and other essential things.

This was also the case with me because I write on many platforms — Quora, Medium, my blog and sometimes for others blog; furthermore, I have my studies accompanying me. And I also have to grant time to my studies at least 4 hours a day.

Because of this much work+ studies, I was struggling with time and continuously harassing myself by taking the load that was becoming difficult for me to handle.

I know that same is the case with a lot of bloggers and content writer because they want to write as many pieces as possible can in a single day, but due to the limited hours in a day, they have to compromise with their health to produce more.

Only only that — there are other things as well which you have to do out of compulsion in a day if you live with your family like me, you have to engage yourself with odd home jobs, and sometimes these different jobs are very time-consuming.

And when an odd job takes more time than your calculated time — your head starts burning up, which later create conflicts in your relationship.

As in my case, my head remains cool because if it gets burn up and I tried to do something out of the box — my mom will throw me out of the home, jokes apart. But this is a serious issue because you want to produce more and achieve more.

So after a lot of overthinking and preparing time tables for my self, I came up with the “8–8–8-hour technique”.

This is very simple and easy to apply the technique, Which saves your time plus enable you to do more done in a day without getting exhausted or losing sleep and health.

Let’s dive into this;

Why you need “8–8–8-hours technique”?

As I have mentioned above, more work increases the pressure on you, also if you fail to accomplish your daily goals — you become angry and frustrated which later creates problems in your relationships because you blame other people for your failures.

Therefore, For reducing your workload plus allowing you to use your entire day efficiently, this technique is quite helpful according to my experience.

Remember this — only by applying you will know the truth. Reading this entire article and not taking any steps is not going to change anything.

How?

As you know that there are only 24 hours available in a day, for all, and you have to use those hours in such a way — so that you can produce more out of your day without getting tired or frustrated.

It’s not a big deal if you correctly use your day because 24 hours are more than enough for a human being.

What is “8–8–8-hour technique”?

8–8–8 hours technique” is a simple way to divide your day into three divisions — which you can use for different purposes.

  1. 8 Hours for sleep and less important works.
  2. 8 Hours for work (content writing or work that you do in your life).
  3. 8 Hours for studies if you are a student; otherwise, you can use these hours for your work as well.

In my opinion by “8–8–8 hours technique,” you get enough time for your work, plus time for rest of the things that you do or want to do in a day.

How to apply this technique?

I am narrating my experience — how I apply this to my schedule?

I start my day at 4 am by meditating for 1 hour and soon after that I open my laptop and check out the all the emails that I have got, plus all the comments and responses that I have got on my previous work — then I reply to all those emails, comments and messages.

After doing that I decide the heading of my new post, also ideas that I am going to embed in that post, this I finishes till 5:30 am.

From 5:30 am to 8:30 am I do the daily things which includes exercise, bathing, breakfast and my morning payers. As I am a religious person, and I completely believe in God.

After doing all these things, I start working at 9 am to 3 pm six hours in a row in this I finish 3 articles each containing 1500+ words.

Now at least my 7 hours of work have been completed, and I have one more hour left for my work, which I use at night. Because in the evening, I take my online class and reads books.

The last hour I use at night after dinner at 9 pm to 10 pm — This one hour is entirely dedicated for promoting my work which I have produced in that day by sharing it on different social platforms.

I get to bed on 10:30 pm after writing my journal and rise at 3:55 am daily. I follow this routine on 24*7, and I never feel tired because I get enough sleep and enough hours for my work, entertainment and studies.

I am very well aware that everyone has a different life even some of you are late risers, but the best thing about8–8–8 hours technique” is — it provides you with the flexibility to adjust your time as you want to.

The only code you have to maintain is the 8–8–8 hours routine. It’s efficient. I am working on it form my college days.

I have experience 8–8–8-hours technique allows you to do everything in a day without sacrificing anything important or sometimes, which adds fun to your life.

Changes that I have noticed in self after apply 888 hours technique

Before 8–8–8-hours technique, I used to struggle with my time adjustments because I used to estimate that I have more work than I can handle in a single day.

The reason was, back then, I was engaged with teaching school kids and mentoring them, which I ended now because of COVID -19.

So my schedule was more hectic, and because of that, I used to get stressed at the end of the day, due to which I was not comfortable also believed that I am not giving my best and even I am not taking proper rest.

Sleep in my eyes was visible from miles, and impulse in my mind running faster than the electrons in a live wire.

All this used to make me sick, and deep down, I used to think — why I am even doing all this? It’s no fun at all.

Is this life? Work like a donkey entire day and follow the same routine the next day. I was tired of this because I was missing all the fun and anime shows that I like to watch.

I was confused and continuously thinking about changing my routine; besides searching for a new way of living because my current life was not up to the mark.

After putting so much strain on my head and doing all the calculation, I came up with “8–8–8- hours technique” — which made my life more flexible and now I have time for almost everything that I want to do in my life.

Benefits that I got from 888 hours technique

Starting from the morning — I never miss the sunrise, which is kind of fun, in my views because glancing at rising sun fill you with exceptional good vibes and positivity.

Now I never miss my daily exercise, not only that, and I always get time to talk with my family and friends — which is strengthening our bond and trust, back then, I used to ignore everyone because I believed chatting to them only going to waste my time. Plus they’ll tell me some nuisance which I don’t want to listen. Furthermore, they’re not going anywhere — so I will get enough time to chat with them.

But the thing is, you can’t afford to ignore people you love because of your work, after all, you are working for them, and in my view, everyone on this planet is moving towards their grave every single day.

So — if we are ignoring our loved ones, then we are cutting one part of our life which is not appropriate because life is all about living together. Moreover, you’re trying to weaken your bonds.

After applying the “8–8–8-hour technique,” I daily get time to take a walk with my mom on the roof of our house, after dinner — in which she shares her day with me. I share my problems and stories that I had published in that day, Plus she narrates funny stories of people, all this sharing reduces my stress plus makes me free from worries.

I am only mentioning all this because we have only one life — if you chooses work in exchange for people, then it will we a wrong choice.

It doesn’t mean you have to leave your work, but you only need to create a balance between your work and life — which is possible by this technique.

Because life is all about uniting and enjoying every single day — it’s not about getting frustrated and abusing your loved ones because of your workload.

My mom always says this to me — if something is costing you life, leave that thing immediately because that thing is not valuable. Life is much more important than everything else in this world.

Conclusions?

As this 8–8–8-technique is completely practical, I am not sharing anything about that. Still, you must know this, after corona, we all get severely affected, plus there is a massive rise in domestic violence and crime rates in the entire world.

Which shows how sick we are? Furthermore, we don’t have a clue about that — so we must save ourselves and our loved one by lending proper time.

Plus, we must also remain focus on what we are doing because that’s the source of our earning, which is also very essential.

So try to create a balance between two life and work.
