Follow Me
A Poem

You said follow Me but the world I would follow down pathways and byways and highways so hollow, so vast and alone, in despair did I roam ‘till brought to my knees when your voice called me home called me out, called me Child Beloved, Daughter…You said Rest in me, there’s no need to wander But wander I did, and wander I do I’ve spent half my life not following you And yet you remain, unchanging and still the same gentle voice Moses heard on the hill Enthroned in your glory, world at your feet tirelessly calling, Child come, follow me.
