Summary

The story "Fly Eagle Fly" recounts the first flight lessons of three baby eagles named Courage, Fear, and Trust, each learning to fly with varying degrees of success based on their attributes.

Abstract

Set high in the mountains, "Fly Eagle Fly" is a tale of three young eagles who are taught the art of flight by their mother. Courage, the bravest, is the first to be nudged out of the nest but struggles to fly and is saved by his mother. Fear, the smallest, is hesitant and also fails to soar, relying on his mother's rescue. Trust, the third eagle, lives up to his name by confidently embracing the sky, successfully riding the wind currents and returning to the nest. The narrative underscores the importance of trust and self-belief in overcoming challenges, drawing a parallel to human life where courage, fear, and trust play crucial roles in our personal growth and ability to "fly" independently.

Opinions

  • The story suggests that courage alone is not sufficient for success; trust in one's own abilities is also essential.
  • Fear is depicted as a significant barrier to achieving one's potential, emphasizing the need to overcome it.
  • Trust's success implies that confidence and reliance on learned skills can lead to triumph over initial fears and uncertainties.
  • The mother eagle's role in guiding and rescuing her offspring symbolizes the nurturing and protective role of parents or mentors in an individual's development.
  • The moral of the story highlights the importance of trusting in the support and teachings provided during upbringing to confidently face life's challenges.

The Story Of Baby Eagles Courage, Fear, And Trust

This is the story of three new baby eagles living high up in the mountains. The mother eagle has three young babies to feed every day. Every morning she would spread her wings and fly from the nest into the sky above leaving her young babies alone as they watch her fly gracefully into the sky in the search for food for the morning meal.

The days pass quickly and the young eagles are growing more and more. They are becoming more and more curious about the sky above and the ground below. The day has arrived for the mother eagle to give the young eagles their first lesson of flight.

Mother eagle has chosen baby eagle Courage to be the first to attempt to test his wings. He was chosen first because he always showed courage and no fear. Mother eagle gives Courage a gentle push and he flies over to the next tree branch near the nest. Now he is ready for the reason he was born to fly like an eagle.

Courage immediately finds himself falling to the ground below. He starts to open his wings like he has seen his mother do many times before. The more he tries the faster he falls to the ground. Finally, the mother eagle appears just in time before hitting the ground guiding him back to return to the nest above.

Now is it Fear's turn to open his wings. He is the smallest of the three. Fear watched his brother Courage look over the edge of the nest and return with the mother eagle. This did nothing to calm his fear. Mother eagle gives Fear a push closer to the edge of the nest. He opens his wings and flies over to the next to the tree branch near the nest. Now he is ready to fly like an eagle.

Fear seeing his brother Courage try very hard to open his wings and catch the wind currents to fly only to begin to fall towards the earth below. Mother again comes to the rescue guiding baby Fear back to the nest above.

Now it is Trust's turn to fly from the nest. Something is different this time. She does not push him over the edge of the nest. Trust like his brothers flies over to the close branch to open his wings for the test flight.

Trust was so named because he trusted his mother to not let him fall from the sky to the ground below. Once out of the nest he opens his wings to find the wind current that carries him straight up into the blue sky above. Mother and Trust returned to the nest.

The moral of the story baby Trust knew and trusted his mother to help and protect him from harm during the first flight from the nest.

Baby Courage yes had the courage to try on his own however he lack trust that he could do it on his own.

Baby Fear had neither courage nor trust has little chance of flying on his own that day.

You see life is much like the young eagles trying to learn to fly on their own. We are protected in our young moments of life fed and watched over. The day will come to the job of our mother is finished and the knowledge and inspiration given to the young are seen in our first flight alone.

You see in your life be like the young eagles pushed from the nest. Open your wings and Fly Up To The Sky in all things that you do in your life.
