Flowering in spring

Inspired by Image Prompt 3

As a flower blooms in spring After the dark cold winter Slowly peeking out greenly To blossom beautifully Under the golden sun

So I emerge from the dark Realizing that spring has come Blooming colorfully myself I realize the darkness, the pain Will come to my soul again

But for today, I shall bloom Doing my best to color the world With light — with love — with care I shall not hide my soul Under a cloud of pain Nor shall I let the sorrow win

Rather, I shall bloom today Leaving worry for another day Allowing myself to rest To recover, to recuperate To fight the dark again Some future day
