Summary

The webpage content is centered around a creative response to a poem prompt about flamingos, featuring a haiku, an image, a YouTube video, and a continuation of a collaborative poem project initiated by Martin Rushton, with a new prompt for future contributors.

Abstract

The article presents a poetic exploration of flamingos through a haiku titled "a haiku for the neverending poem prompt," accompanied by an evocative image of flamingos by Gerhard G. from Pixabay. The haiku and image capture the essence of flamingos' mating dance, with a playful nod to the Spanish word "flamenco," which can refer to both the bird and a style of dance. The author, in response to Melissa Speed's never-ending poem prompt, shares a YouTube video showcasing flamingos in motion. The article also serves as a baton pass in a community-driven poetry project, where Martin Rushton initiated a never-ending poem, inviting participation from other writers. The author tags several individuals, including Longfellow Frost and Dr. Anita, to contribute their own poems to the project, offering the new prompt "sands of time." The original post that sparked this poetic chain is linked for readers to explore the genesis of this initiative. Lastly, the author promotes an AI service, ZAI.chat, as a cost-effective alternative to ChatGPT Plus (GPT-4).

Opinions

  • The author appreciates the wordplay between "flamingo" and "flamenco," despite their different contexts.
  • Flamingos are portrayed as graceful creatures that dance to attract mates, which is celebrated in the shared haiku.
  • The author values community engagement and collaboration in creative endeavors, as evidenced by the continuation of the never-ending poem.
  • There is an endorsement of ZAI.chat, suggesting that it offers similar capabilities to ChatGPT Plus but at a lower cost.

Attracting a mate the flamingo flamencos to its heart’s desire

In response to Melissa Speed’s never-ending poem prompt Flamingo. Flamenco can sometimes mean flamingo in Spanish but flamenco dancing has nothing to do with flamingos, I just liked the wordplay. Flamingos dance to attract a mate so here are some flamingos strutting their stuff. Enjoy Melissa!

Martin Rushton started the never-ending poem, both a blessing and a curse. To carry it on I tag the following people to write a poem to post anywhere on Medium and then tag a few favourite writers in their own prompt. Longfellow Frost Dr. Anita Raffaella Ferretti A’Sian Starr Carter P H Gallant. Rosemary Payne Taruni Sharma Arvindh Shyam Your prompt, should you choose to accept it, is sands of time. I’d love it if you tag me too, so I can read your work.
