AI Artist Redesigns Flounder 🐠 in Disney’s Live-Action Movie “The Little Mermaid” 🧜🏾‍♀️

When I was a kid, Ursula was the scariest thing about Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Now, it looks like the next generation will be traumatized by the pallid, Steve Buscemi-esque appearance of the beloved character Flounder in the upcoming live-action remake, swimming into cinemas May 26, 2023.

Why does Flounder in the live-action movie “The Little Mermaid” look like Ursula’s horcrux?!?

After receiving a tidal wave 🌊 of reactions on Twitter, it was clear that the redesigned Flounder needed a makeover. Fear not, Little Mermaid fans! I have taken it upon myself to dive deep into the digital ocean and use the AI art generator Midjourney to reimagine the photorealistic CGI Flounder.

You may have seen my previous work, where I used Jasper Art to bring more racial diversity to Disney animated classics and envisioned what Disney classics might look like if they were directed by Tim Burton 🎃️

Now, I present to you a gallery of improved Flounder images that will hopefully make you fall in love with Ariel’s best friend all over again 💙🐠
