Five things I love about being a content creator
I have been creating content off and on for the last decade. It has its days, good and bad but, in all, I wouldn’t trade it for any other career.
Here are 5 things I love about being a content creator.
I love these 5 content creator perks
This is what I love about this job.
1. Unlimited Income
I earn a full-time income stream from content creation and the unlimited income potential is a big draw.
This is one of those jobs where you can work part-time and earn a full-time income.
One of my newest social media accounts (on Tik Tok) makes me $72K/year part-time and I don’t even show my face!
I started the account less than 10 months ago. This ebook I just published shares more on my journey and how you can get started with faceless Tik Tok.
2. Flexibility
I am not chained to a desk, not working in a cubicle, and no phone calls! I can do content creation 100% from my phone if I wanted.
From a coffee shop.
From a beach house.
At the pool.
I work the hours I want, the days I want, I can take a long 3-hour lunch in the middle of the workday, vacation whenever the travel bug hits me, and other benefits that makes this gig truly flexible.
3. I get to be creative
This is one of the best jobs for truly showing off your creativity. If you want a job that lets you be your true creative self, you will love content creation.
4. Feedback in real-time
Whether you’re doing good or bad, there’s always feedback out there that you can consume and learn from.
If you post something on Tik Tok that people are really grateful for, they’ll tell you.
If you post a piece of content that’s controversial or that someone just doesn’t like, don’t be surprised if they tell you about it.
You have to have tough skin, especially on social media.
If I shared screenshots of some of my comments from my Newsbreak articles, your jaw would hit the floor.
I am all for the feedback and I try to learn from it, if I can.
It comes with the territory.
5. An opportunity to work with cool people and cool companies
You may not get an opportunity in a non-content-creator role to partner with your favorite brands.
Nordstrom, Google, Apple, Costco, LuLaRoe, and others are just the tip of the iceberg.
You also get the chance to work with really cool people including other amazing creators.
How to become a content creator?
Just start.
Head to a content creation platform like Medium or Twitter, Tik Tok, Snapchat, or other sites or networks and start sharing content.
If you want to turn it into a full-time income stream, treat content creation as a business. Work at it, perfect your craft, be consistent, and don’t give up.
