Five Important Quotes

Quotes from famous people about life and success that we should pay attention to

Life is a merry go round or so they say but life is also meaningful. I have been thinking about it lately with the way the world is at present. So, I read through some quotes to see what important people had to say about life in general and about living it, and also, how we can succeed in life.

Here is the first one:

“Get busy living or get busy dying.”– Stephen King

Of course, we need to live before we can die, so, perhaps, Stephen King wanted to tell us that we need to move our lives forward by living it the best we can before we die. Stephen King didn’t waste any time doing that because he wrote and wrote for many years and now he is a famous published author. Of course, ‘get busy living’ can mean different things to different people. Some may want to live life to the full by traveling and seeing the world or living life with their family by making it worthwhile and memorable. So, we should get busy and live life to the full because we don’t want to die.

Here is the second one:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”– Mark Twain

Very true from Mark Twain. I believe he was disappointed by what he didn’t do so let that be a lesson to everybody. Don’t think about doing something, just do it because you just might regret it if you don’t. I know I would regret it if I didn’t do what I wanted to do. But sometimes, we will regret what we didn’t do in our lives. I know I have regretted doing a couple of things in the past. For one, I wish I had a third child when I had the chance to or I wish I had gone to Australia when someone asked me to. So, try to think carefully before refusing an offer.

Here is the third one:

“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.”– Theodore Roosevelt

I believe this quote. Always, try what you want to do in life. Never think about it without having tried it. That is the worst failure because you will always be thinking about what you didn’t do.

Here is the fourth one:

“Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”– Mother Teresa

Very true. I love this quote from Mother Teresa who was a very wise woman. We must all smile to feel love. A smile brings us happiness. Watching loved ones’ smile makes us smile too. A smile is infectious. We should all smile every day. Smiling is a powerful thing.

Here is the fifth one:

“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.”– Leonardo Da Vinci

This quote from Leonardo Da Vinci is truly a meaningful one. He is telling us that people who have had success in their lives didn’t sit about waiting for things to happen because they went out and made it happen. So, this is an important saying. Do not let life pass us by. Get out there and let the life you are living be the one you choose by making those things you want to succeed in work for you. Do not be afraid to accomplish what you want. That’s what Leonardo Da Vinci is telling us all. This is my favorite quote.
