Try these five tasks to get your writing flowing again

Here are five simple tasks that I like to use when I am stuck for writing something.

Here are my tips:

  1. If you can’t think of what to write, then just open a blank page and write anything that comes into your mind. Let your mind flow as you write.
  2. You could also write about what you did that day or the day before or write about a vivid memory. This could develop into an article.
  3. Write a poem. Make it simple at first. Think of an animal or a pet or find an object and stare at it. Describe it in your writing and let it develop into a poem, so you can publish it on Medium.
  4. Think of a person you admire. A famous character or a celebrity. Describe them. Find a picture and use it for your description. This could develop into a short story about this character or even a book you might want to develop.
  5. Think of someone close to you and write about them. It could be your husband, boyfriend, sister, mother, father, cousin or just a close friend. Just describe them in your writing. Let your thoughts flow into your writing.

I like to use one of these tips when I am stuck. It’s easy to do and you will have something, in the end, you can publish.
