First Prompt Of Lifeline Poetry Contest

Start of the poetic series with the emotions of love

Hello, my fellow poets,

This is the starting of the poetry contest in Lifeline. I am very excited to start this very new adventure in Lifeline.

First of all, I want to thank all of you because I got a great response from all of you. It means a lot. I am grateful to all of you for your constant support. I will make sure that you all will have fun participating in this challenge.

Lifeline is all about love. So, I thought I should start this journey of poetry with the theme “Love”.

Love is a vast topic. We can write a lot about this great topic. Love is a beautiful feeling. However, love can be hard, too.

I believe that true love is all about giving. If you truly want to love someone, you have to be a giver than a receiver.

True love is all about sacrifice. Love is incomplete without scarifices.

If you want to love someone unconditionally, you first have to learn to sacrifice.

Love is not about getting, losing, or gaining. It is all about giving to the person whom you love a lot.

Making sacrifices for someone you love shows that no matter what happens, you will be there for him/her. Nothing can change between both of you. Sacrifice is a sign of love.

Lust is about satisfaction. Love is about sacrificing, serving, surrendering, sharing, supporting, and even suffering for others. Most love songs are actually lust songs.

I love the above quote of Rick. Lust is all about satisfaction where love requires sacrifices.

So, the first prompt of the Lifeline poetry contest is

Write a poem about a sacrifice you made in love.

True love begins when you can sacrifice for your loved ones. When you care for your loved one’s happiness more than yours then you are in true love.

We can’t make sacrifices for strangers but we can make it for the people whom we love and care for.

Without courage, honor, compassion, pity, love and sacrifice, as William Faulkner pointed out, we know not of love, but lust. We debase our audience. But we can ennoble and enrich our viewers and ourselves in our journey through this good time, this precious time, this great and wonderful experience we call life.

Love is not about happiness,

Love is not about courage,

Love is not about words,

Love is not about feelings only,

True love is all about sacrifice,

Sacrifice that you make for your loved ones' happiness.
