First Kiss

So very long ago…

He remembered her brown skin It was so flawless and smooth He remembered her lips As they beckoned him forward

Her eyelashes seemed huge Like a butterfly ready to carry him away Her hands were so petite Yet their touch electrified him

He longed for her ebony hair But it was tied behind her He longed for her touch But there was a uniform between them

The barriers were not subtle They screamed to be breached Their innocence was apparent And longed to be lost

They met in the back room Where no one was around Without a word they kissed And the world exploded

Their innocence evaporated Their ignorance stepped aside Each of their journeys commenced Without ever kissing again
