SCBWI DAILY PROMPT
First Cup Of The Day When You Wake Up
It may not smell as good as yours, but I like it.
I have everything right next to my bed, on what is the kitchen top in my Mobile Domicile, but doubles as my nightstand. I don’t use the kitchen because it is all-electric, and I don’t have a place to plug it in. So, it’s my nightstand.
I have everything ready. An emptied and cleaned half-gallon jug of OJ, filled with water the night before. A clean cup, and the trusty bottle of organic apple cider vinegar. Upon awakening, I pour myself a cup of water and add a tablespoon of the vinegar.
As I make my bed and get dressed, I slowly and methodically drink my “nectar.” I have been doing it for a year now, and it has kept me healthy. Someone I met at an event where I was twisting balloons recommended it. He was the husband of the lady who had hired me to help promote her daycare center and Montessori school.
I did some research and found no reason not to try it. Most research articles about traditional medicine will mention that there is not enough research, and more studies are needed. Of course, there is not enough research. There is no money to be made in it. But the truth is that there is ample research from centuries of use and results.
There you have it. My first cup of the day. Sorry if I disappointed you by not talking about coffee, tea, or other aromatic concoction.
Thank you, Amy Marley, for getting me started on the SCBWI daily prompt.
As always, thank you for reading and responding.
