Fire Sparks Love

Cast my memory back but first, let me grab a beer.

Sparks rise into the night sky where they tryst with stars

Frogs are singing the official song of summer lusty bastards

My cousins are singing, too country music songs that I don’t know or enjoy lusty bastards

At the top trees are swaying keeping time

A popping sound from deep inside a burning log releases a fresh burst of sparks

Another round of lovers headed to the stars riding high on flames and heat

My cousins play guitars competing in harmony talking loudly and laughing into the night sky

They know each other so well like a hand knows a well worn glove

I don’t want to brag but I think I am learning to enjoy cheap beer and wood smoke
