Finding Your Wozniak: The Art of Strategic Partnerships
Stop Reinventing the Wheel! Partnering with the right people will give you time to focus on what matters most.

I love the partnership of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in founding Apple Inc.
In the early days, Wozniak had already designed a personal computer, the Apple I. However, Steve Jobs’ vision and business skillset transformed the concept into a marketable product.
Wozniak was passionate about the technical aspects of computing and developed the initial design and functionalities of the computer. However, he lacked the business insight and drive to market and sell the product effectively. Jobs, on the other hand, had a keen sense of business and marketing, understanding how to package and sell Wozniak’s technical innovation.
Their partnership allowed Wozniak to focus on what he did best, designing groundbreaking technology, while Jobs took charge of the business and marketing aspects. Together, they complemented each other’s strengths and created one of the most influential companies in history.
When we think of Apple, we often think about Steve Jobs. But could Steve Jobs have built Apple without Wozniak?
Of course not.
Successful people attract other successful people and allow them to do what they do best in a way that aligns with their bigger vision.
Who not How
Benjamin Hardy, PhD introduced the concept of Who not How to me some time ago. He has a book on this topic, but the overall idea is that we often obsess about how to do something when, in reality, we need the right person to help us get there. The right who.
Last week was a rough week for me as an entrepreneur. I was discouraged with everything I wanted to accomplish and felt unable to do it. I wanted to focus on my passion but didn’t have a good place to start or the time to figure it out.
Miraculously, I had lunch with a friend, and we became each others’ WHOs to help take their dreams to the next level. That partnership will help us accomplish more together than we ever could have on our own.
So, if you are feeling down trying to figure out how you will accomplish your big goals, I encourage you to think about WHO might help you get there instead of HOW you might do it on your own.
Final Thought: Specialization
Partnering with others works because it allows us to specialize in what we do best. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak had a similar vision but unique passions and skill sets. By combining forces, they accomplished more together than they ever could have on their own.
Giving yourself the freedom to work on what you are most passionate about will help you be happier because you’ll spend your time doing what you love, and it will help you achieve astronomical levels of success.
Invitation
You are one person away from taking your life to new levels of success. I invite you to keep your eyes open for that person and be willing to partner with them when the opportunity comes.
