Finding the Gift in Unconventional Thinking
Sometimes, People Just Want to Be Seen With All the Crazy Visions and Thoughts They Have
Sometimes, people just want to be seen with all the crazy visions and thoughts they have. We all have our own inner world, full of ideas, dreams, and imagination.
Yet often we feel the need to filter what we share, to fit society’s standards of “normal.”
What if we let go of this filter from time to time, express what we truly believe and think while not being afraid of conflict?

What if We Didn’t Filter Ourselves?
What if we expressed all of our unconventional ideas, without judging if they sound weird or make sense? This could unlock a lot of creativity and innovation. We spend so much mental energy editing ourselves to avoid judgment.
But judgment comes more from other people’s limitations than our own ideas.
Our brains are wired to recognize patterns. When something disrupts a pattern, we get uncomfortable.

If we push past discomfort though, breakthroughs happen.

There’s Gifts in Letting Ourselves Be “Weird”
- We connect more authentically with people who appreciate our quirks
- We free up mental space to channel creative ideas
- We inspire others to freely express themselves
The more we hide parts of ourselves, the more we suffer. We fragment our identity, never feeling whole. Being seen (and accepted) for all of who we are is incredibly healing. Finding your tribe will take time. Join ours.

People Who Changed the World Were Often Seen as “Weirdos”
- Einstein with his wild hair and theories that questioned reality
- Gandhi with his unusual minimalist lifestyle
- Steve Jobs and his experimental leadership style
We need people who color outside the lines and ask “what if?” Without them, progress stalls.
So next time you feel an urge to edit an unconventional thought, pause.
Consider sharing it instead. There very well could be a breakthrough or connection waiting there. The gift is being fully yourself.
