Ants Make Love On The Kitchen Floor

Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Freestyle”

Rally the troops, spread the love.

I’m having a bit of a love vibration these past couple of days. Not too sure what is up, but I’m rolling with it.

In 2020, I was sitting in the kitchen at a place where we were staying in Morocco and I noticed a bunch of ants crawling to a spot in the corner. Of course, this happens, and I assumed that something had spilled on the floor and they were after it.

I didn’t pay them much attention until, at some point, I looked up and saw what I thought to be a heart.

No, it can’t be.

I jumped out of my chair, crossed the 3m expanse, and sure enough, there it was.

Someway, somehow, the ants had made a heart.

I took pictures and showed them to my host. He assumed that I had drizzled something on the floor in order to stage the photo.

I laughed and told him that I’m not that smart.

Things like this can not be forced. They are meant to happen naturally and on their own.

I don’t know the meaning behind something as profound as this, but I like to think that it means that I am loved and that somehow, on that day, I was being taken care of.

What do you think? Were the ants sending me a message?
