Finding Joy in Movie Soundtracks
Classical music is my life’s blood. If you opened me up, Beethoven would pour out of me. I wish people wrote like that nowadays.
Then I got to thinking — there is gorgeous music for orchestras being written today. It’s the music of the cinema.
As a child of the 90s, I grew up listening to titles like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Gladiator, and Titanic.
The fast parts were best. I loved the swells of passion, the feeling of power pumping through my veins.
I get that same feeling from the score of the Star Wars TV spin-off I’m watching, The Book of Boba Fett. The strong bass and voices evoke the desert warlord. I could never tire of it.
