Dominate Rage to Optimize Your Writing
A trip to a sub-conscience weapon you have in your brain
Don’t wish it were easy. Wish you were better.
I’m one of those guys that think that things don’t just happen. Things happen just…
And good fortune sometimes comes in mysterious ways. But when it comes we must embrace it.
Maybe it’s a mentor that you find in an online course. Maybe it’s a phrase in the last book you read. Or even a film that you saw on Netflix that absolutely changed your perspective on things.
I believe that we have, in our lifetime, so many opportunities that pass in front of our eyes. We just have to be aware. We must be aware.
Because time is more valuable than anything else in this world. You can have more love, more money, more friends, but unfortunately, you can’t have more time.
So, for example, I see Medium as an opportunity that I grabbed and I think one day it will open doors to one of the absolute goals in my life. Making my writing as a profession.
However, when you promote yourself to a position where you must do everything on your own, you better be able to bring some weapons to the floor, because you went in war territory.
The Invisible Force That Drives You to the Unknown
There are invisible forces that surround us in mysterious ways. We’ll never know why somethings happen and when the good fortune cames our way.
But it’s a matter of time when the opportunity comes. And we have to embrace it.
I was in a sort of limbo for the last 5 years of my life until I found Medium. And it changed my life. 4 months writing in this platform and I learned so much, I loved so many articles written by extraordinary human beings.
By reading a lot of articles I learned so many new things already. I think I know little personal things about some of my favorite writers. As they share their pains, their joys, their lives, I think I know a little more about them. About who they did it and who they managed success.
Some of them taught me how to write, what to read, how to embrace life itself. It’s been a journey.
Who fortune can a person be by finding something that we love? Something that carries all the dreams that we thought were so far away.
And I don’t miss anything. I read everything I can put my eyes on. Learn some of the online courses about Medium. Try to find my pace, my passion, my drive, to be better every day on sharing my thoughts, my experiences, my knowledge.
I will win this battle, even if it’s just by being a better person. Even if writing is just a psychological therapy that makes me talk about myself to the crowd. I don’t want to miss anything or anyone.
These invisible forces are the reason I feel something unique inside of me. And I’m gonna keep pushing, and pushing, and pushing.
I want these next 5 years to be real-life changers. I want to change my daily routines. I want to be better when I talk to my friends. I want to be better when I write to my followers. I want to improve in every aspect of my life.
The Invisible Power of Rage
It’s not that you must be angry all the time. Not at all.
But you and I have rage inside of us. Like we have love, and care, and tender, and all the good stuff. You also have rage too. And if you have it, and you can use it, why don’t you use it the way it should be?
We, as human beings, have a lot to learn about our sub-conscience. We do so many things instinctively. And many times things that we regret later.
The way we manage rage is one of them.
It’s a powerful weapon if we use it in the right place at the right time.
And oh boy, oh boy, if I’m using it on Medium! Yes, a don’t just use rage. I abuse it.
In days that procrastination wants to take care of me, and I need that extra mile to complete my daily rituals, I absolutely need the Spartacus voice in my ears.
We’ll kill them all
This rage of fire inside my soul made me a completely different person. I can be writing nonstop for 2 to 4 hours straight, about different subjects, and prepare 3 articles to publish in one day if I have the perfect drive, the perfect rhythm, and the perfect rage level.
It’s just that rage, like any other human characteristic, can be used as a weapon. And many people make use of it in a very inappropriate way.
However, if you happen to manage rage in the best way you can, you’ll feel the power. You’ll feel the drive. The level of concentration is going up to the sky. And in your work, in your daily routines, you’ll feel the difference. You’ll feel that everything is changing around you. Like a magnet that attracts all that is good around you.
Find the Right Inspiration Through Rage
When we’re in pursuit of success, and we need a lot of ideas, new ones, or some old refined thoughts, we tend to think that some course or seminar is going to offer us tons of new ways of thought.
But the reality is that those ideas are all inside of us already. Ok, maybe we’ll need that extra idea, that extra reflected and matured thought. But you don’t need much. It’s an illusion.
You just need a push in your mind. A kick in your soul to start running faster and to find in the deep of your brain all the experiences, all the knowledge, all the pain, and joys that you already experienced in your lifetime.
You know what I’m talking about. Because you already saw that spark in the eyes of that person, that one that is always ahead. A familiar, perhaps. A friend, maybe. That one that you admire by the powerful drive he or she has. That spark that makes them feel a room full of people.
Rage make’s it happen. Rage about unsuccess. Rage about procrastination. Rage about inactivity. Rage about apathy.
You’ll find out that you can transform yourself into one of these people. If you start to practice. If you start to internalize that you can’t open the door to these common features. Use rage to close that door and never open again.
Be Thankful for What You Already Have
You know, rage can be tricky.
If we don’t use it the right way, we can be deceived by our own mind and spirit. Because as I’m using rage to empower my drive, my concentration, my focus, I start to feel undestructive.
Everything starts to work like a Suisse clock. Success starts to knock on your door. It can be little success, but if it starts to hum, rapidly it becomes something more serious and entails greater responsibility.
Yet, if we forget who we were. If we forget where we came from and what we already have, things start to went the wrong way.
You start to feel yourself above others. Arrogance starts to be ion the table more often. And you’ll blind with something called prepotency.
Don’t ever forget who you are right now. Rage can give you the best of things, but also can destroy what you’ve built with so much work and dedication.
Be aware all the time.
Like Arundhati Roy once said:
“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
Everything You Need Is In the Palm of Your Hands
You don’t need to go to Mars to find all the things you need. I know Elon Musk is trying to go there. But I think it’s just for the exploration ride. I’m convinced that he’s not hoping to find happiness, success, self-respect, or any other things on Mars.
You know why?
Because it’s all around you. On planet Earth. We live in abundance. We have everything everywhere.
Remember what Arundhati said: To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple?
It’s just so simple, right?
A long time ago, there was this first sermon on the day that Cristian Church was started. A magnificent sermon was given by the priest. This sermon was given to a multitude. More than 10 thousand people, they say.
When the sermon was finished, there was a variety of reactions to the same sermon. It said some were perplexed. Others mock and laughed. And others said what’s going on. Those were very sincere attitudes.
But the priest was so calm and relaxed with them. Because in his mind, he already figured out the thing about people. Those were the perplexed, the mockers, the laughers, and those who don’t know what’s going on. The priest didn’t try to understand them. Or worst than that. He didn’t try to change them. Because things are what they are. Mysteries of the mind, the priest thought.
However, some of the ones that listen to the presentation believed. And that was for whom the priest was talking to. The believers.
The number of believers was about 3,000. So, it was a pretty good first day, don’t you think?
