Something outside of my comfort zone that I’d like to try this week is — loving myself. Allow me to elaborate on what that looks like this week (and go a little past the 150-word mark):

1. Writing until my heart is content.

I have homework and laundry to do. I have exams to study for, I want to swim with my kids, and there’s grocery shopping to be done. If you were to ask me a year ago how I get everything done, that’s easy — I didn’t. A year ago, I was overwhelmed and on edge — feeling like I could fall to my death at any moment. Today, not only have I made it up to my Everest, I’m gaining the confidence to do it again (and again) if I need to.

2. Sing and play my guitar like no one is listening.

This is a practice I used to do all the time. Somewhere between committing my life to a man and having his children, I lost my self. I lost my voice, zest, and my thirst to pick up my guitar and play whatever was on my mind and in my heart.

No more.

Today, to infinity and beyond, I am finding the time to love myself again.

Thank you for your love and support. You Are Loved. ❤
