Final Covid Update From Us
My Husband And I Are On The Mend

Muscles Are Stronger
I am happy to report my husband and I are getting stronger, although we are still experiencing fatigue. In case you are new, my husband and I were both affected by the Sars-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid 19. We were hospitalized and then sent to rehab, so we were gone most of October. We have had occupational and physical therapy since returning home.
My husband does not have long Covid as his muscle strength has improved. The senior physical therapist evaluated us both, and he said he has seen what happened to my husband happen to others. He gave my husband and I both some specific tips for our recovery.
My Health Problems
I have a sprained ankle, which happened 11 days ago while I was transferring from my walker into my recliner. I still have some swelling and pain. This is in my numb leg, which is on the left. I had two failed back surgeries causing this numbness. The doctor had my ankle x-rayed several days ago to make sure there was no fracture. This was done in my home! I didn’t know that was possible.
The swelling in my right hand is almost gone. My doctor treated it as an infection. Several people thought I might have gout instead of an infection, and they may be right. I still have some redness, pain and swelling in one knuckle, but it has definitely improved.
Our therapies will continue and I appreciate that as I see improvement in both of us. We appreciate the well wishes, prayers, love and positive thoughts from the Medium writers.
We had a nice Thanksgiving Day yesterday. My son and his wife came over and it was his birthday. We got him an Amazon gift card. My husband got his favorite sweet potato casserole and we simply baked a smoked turkey breast. My DIL made some other dishes including pumpkin pie.
Medium Writers
I want to apologize to those Medium writers who I usually follow. I can’t seem to catch up with reading and commenting on your articles. I had almost 200 emails when I got home from rehab.
I follow many people and I get tagged. So, I finally deleted a huge number of those emails, and I am reading as much as I can each day. My fatigue is limiting me, although I am reading quite a few daily. I will attempt to catch up.
I am tagging a few people who have been praying for us. I appreciate all those well wishes, prayers and positive thoughts. This is the last time I am writing about this problem, so I do not plan to tag you again concerning our health problems.
