Fidelity or Monogamy
Is it one and the same, or is there a difference
Fidelity and monogamy are as different as night and day It’s only some of us mistakenly add the shades of grey
Muddying the waters of what was meant to be a beautiful relationship into all eternity.
Who stirred the pot of right and wrong creating havoc between a love so strong?
Some mischief make Freedom taker Instigator Devil’s advocator
And we bit into the apple — claiming wisdom Not knowing we were merely crushing love’s blossom
Strong and pure and full of integrity we ask for monogamy when the desired was fidelity.

Poetry inspired by A Tale of Two Souls with the direct lines — I never equated fidelity with monogamy. Fidelity was a state of mind and devotion, not a net around the genitalia, coming from the author, The Wordsmith™🏳️🌈🇺🇸
Thank you, Alex.
