The world is still being pummeled by the new coronavirus. This battle is a must-win for humanity. And if we all can play our roles very well by behaving in a responsible manner then we can collectively come out of this terrible situation with lesser losses and fatalities.

The government, scientists — and our gallant health workers can’t do it all alone. It’s only through collective responsibility that we can come out of this without losing as much as we’re now afraid of losing.

Therefore you’re going to follow every instruction you’ve received because it’ll save your life and the lives of others. You must stay indoors for now — and endeavor to wash your hands quite often. Do it for yourself and for everyone.

You might not be a health worker or a scientist, but you’re equally playing your role well by staying indoors — and doing all that you can to ensure that you’re safe and in sound health.

Folks that disobeyed instructions when this monster was still a baby now live in regrets because some of them got themselves infected — and from there the virus spreads further and infected many people. This is why you’re going to live responsibly by trying not to get yourself — and someone else infected because this virus doesn’t spread itself. It is human that spreads it.

Do not indulge in panic buying

Panic buying worsens the situation. It makes it look like the world is about to come to an end. Or that the scourge isn’t going to be contained eventually. The pain is already much. Losses — and fatalities are increasing by the day, please don’t make life more difficult for others.

Don’t buy up everything because you can afford it. Remember that others also need to survive. Therefore don’t use your negative attitude to force people into living in scarcity of food, and basic needs. Please live responsibly.

Do not spread lies

Do not misguide people by telling lies about a drug or a procedure that could cure the disease. Already there are a plethora of apocryphal articles on the internet that misleads people into believing that a certain drug or concoction could cure the new Coronavirus. And these disinformation are probably culpable for casualties and serious health issues.

The Scientist, relevant bodies and the WHO is right on top of the situation and the least you can do is not to aggravate the situation by spreading disinformation.

Don’t fuel the crisis. Live responsibly. Do it for yourself, for your loved ones and for humanity.

Give people hope and encouragement

Some have lost their loved ones. While many have lost their means of livelihood. Many are also developing different kinds of mental illness owing to staying indoors for weeks — and not knowing what the aftermath of this crisis would be. Therefore their predominant feeling is doom and gloom.

You can do them a lot of good by giving them hope. Encourage them to be strong and to remain upbeat during this difficult period. Write uplifting contents and not debasing pieces. Stay in touch with your friends, colleagues and loved ones.

Help them to understand that this situation is surmountable and not permanent. Show them that there’s going to be light at the end of the tunnel. You can counsel them on how to stay sane during this period. Perhaps your words and skill can help them cope and find some hope.

In conclusion

Remember many are still struggling to breath. While some are lying at the morgues.

You don’t know why you weren’t infected by the plague. You also don’t know why you survived it.

What happened to others could’ve happened to you. Therefore in your best interest, please live responsibly.

Live by example. Play your own role very well as a responsible individual and help the world to go through this with lesser pain and tears.

Doing all these shows that you’re responsible for yourself, for your loved ones and for everyone.

And stay strong wherever you are. This gloomy weather will definitely dissipate and life will be on the move again. The world needs you to be strong because this scourge has hurt us individually, economically, and in so many other ways.

And there’ll be a lot of work waiting for you right after this. This is why we need you to stay healthy so that you’ll help in your own way to put things in the right order when this is over. That’s after we successfully reclaim our lives from this ravaging plague.

Living responsibly is the only way that we can deal with this situation effectively. And this is why you’re going to play your own role very well as a responsible individual by doing your best to live responsibly.

Stay safe.
