Feral Housewife
Domestication Be Damned

I’m a feral housewife Full of ravaging vibrant life Dancing in my fanciful Forest wild and Free of man’s created strife I stir in love and elderberries With my pancakes and green tea When I rise with the sun Mist and the merry chittering of Squirrels greet me heartily We stroll happily through our favorite gully searching for Fairy hallows and goblin scars We wile away what feels like hours Only to emerge seeing but Ten minutes passed on the Patina copper dial in the yard Skipping inside our crooked shoe hut We bake up a batch of biscuits For all whom we love A fragrant mixture of Ripe berries, aromatic bark, and pine nuts While not neglecting our pies of mud On the window sill For our favorite froggy cohorts Taken with a steaming cup of Steeped rose blossom tea The whole head snipped and Dried dangling from hand plaited twine Blooming anew in my rose quartz pot I share the shimmering liquid With all who gather at the scent of the brew Taking my ease Napping in the filtered light a Sweet afternoon breeze carries The dreams I haven’t Had the pleasure of meeting yet They get trapped in the fairy net I keep spread across My canopy bed Made of two matchboxes and A Handkerchief
