Feeling Better — Things You Love
December’s Second Week Prompt for Lifeline
things that make you feel better
a light snowfall on a wintry day washes my worries away
memories of catching snowflakes on my tongue and face building a snowman tiredness replaced
a sunny day or falling leaves spring flowers abloom outdoors walking or planting my heart plays a tune
feel good movies soft spa music for calm breathing deeply are strengthening balms
finishing a writing piece completing a novel reading wonderful books better than lifting a shovel
hugs and kisses from grandkids family gatherings a must being thankful for their love, company, and trust
eating foods I like cooking is calming too a grateful heart for ableness and work walking barefoot, yay for no shoes
being around trees, especially pines and by the shore listening to waves fall and break to its own pace and time
getting together with friends laughing up a storm wonderful conversations are usually the norm
helping others, the environment, and animals to survive makes me feel very alive
teaching children and learning from them too makes life a happier place getting hugs too
it’s better to feel better especially when we’re sad we can whisk away our sorrows by good things replacing the bad
searching our souls brings grace to our hearts so that love, light, and goodness are never apart.
Thanks for reading.
