She looked at him, sadness and regret poured from her eyes, and said, “I am sorry, but I thought I could save you. I thought I could have changed your destiny. I was wrong. All that I have been doing to you and for you, for the years I have known you, I didn’t change your fate, I just delayed it.”
The police officer said, “You have one-minute ma’am.”
“Please,” her husband of twenty years begged, “this is the last time, I promised.”
She nodded, sadly stifling her tears, “You are making a promise to the wrong person.”
“But you are my wife, who should I make promises to?”
