Super sizes, loaded fries, double whoppers…meals that explode your waistline!

I have always been stocky my entire life so I have some sympathy for overweight people. However, when I eat fast food, I lose sympathy when I see overweight people and even those who are not overweight, either order super size drinks, loaded fries, double or triple beef burgers or bloomin onions. These foods that thrive in America are killing us. Even if they don’t kill us, these high calorie foods lead to diabetes, high blood pressure and other diseases.

I am not writing this piece to condemn or shame overweight America but to hopefully to have those without restraint use a little. I believe that food is meant to enjoy but does not mean that we have to overindulge. Eat in moderation. Do you really need those loaded fries; you are already have a burger and a drink — skip the fries or at least eat regular fries? I am not here to prescribe a diet for anyone but just hope that restraint can get a place on your menu too.

Also, people don’t cook enough these. Eating meals at home is almost healthy. Through some greens in there. Eat a salad at least once a week. Cook with an air fryer to eliminate oil. Only have dessert once a week. I love sweets so I know it’s hard to resist but I’ve done it and know it is possible.

Finally, exercise regularly. I know going to gym is not for everyone. I don’t like going to gym personally but I play tennis 3 or 4 times weekly. Find something that you love and will not exercise a day in your life.

Cut your portions in half. You will eventually get accustomed to eating less. So, you don’t have to starve yourself to stay in shape. Also, don’t eat too late — this is a killer. Drink a cold glass of water before going to sleep.

Enjoy your food but don’t let it consume you!!
