20-DAY POETRY CHALLENGE
Fantasy World
A poetic prompt for day 16

I once dreamed I was a princess I can do whatever I want — talk to nature, banter with animals everything that surrounds us
I can wish any stuff as far as it's for the betterment of something I can sing a lullaby heal a sick soul
I can give breath — to an ailing ane I can do magic tricks I can make anyone — as happy as a bee
I can still live and not feel hungry any time of the day —I tell you! there’s no day and night
I can stay younger or older being as I want I can play with all God’s creations without the fear of untamed ones
I can go to any places anywhere in the world I can even touch the sky talk to the sun — play hide and seek with the moon
But one day I was awakened by a loud voice, “do wake up, wake up you are having a nightmare dear” It was my mom arousing me from my deep slumber
Alas! ‘Twas the end of my dream fantasy world, I felt very sad, you see
though now I am an adult, I found out I still can have my fantasy world —
speaking to anyone touring anywhere, reaching the stars, messing with the sun and its sweetheart — the moon
croon a melodious song, cure anybody who is ill make someone joyful live forever without the fear of death
guess how I did it? what and where I got my magical powers? through my WRITING indeed!
I can’t thank enough my friend Sahil Patel, for this 20-day poetry challenge, as I get to explore my hidden fantasies. I constantly fantasize myself being a princess, until when I have grown up. Until this day — being a princess has been a reality. I found it in writing for you and me.
Please do give time to read his adaptation of the prompt:
