Release yourself from answering questions that haven’t been asked. Often we want to defend ourselves and our character, but I assure you that you will never change a person’s perspective that didn’t even think to ask you. In these situations, there can be several reasons why no one wants to hear your side… sometimes they need you to be the villain in order to relinquish responsibility, maturity, and accountability.

Sometimes it’s better to just let things be, let people go, don’t fight for closure, don’t ask for explanations, don’t chase answers, and don’t expect people to understand where you’re coming from.

Letting people be wrong about you or a situation while staying in your lane, keeping your peace, and remaining focused on what you need to be doing is the most misunderstood power move you will ever make.
