Hello, creative lights in the deep dark!
Just a friendly reminder, if you live in the USA, taxes are due on the 18th! So get those in. I know that time sometimes flies by at such a pace that I can lose track of these things, and I’d hate for that to happen to you!
I hope my reminders help keep you organized, and my prompts keep you energized!
Using the Prompts:
If you decide to use these prompts, please add a link to the prompt you used at the end of your story so that other people can find us. You are welcome to submit the resulting story to Fantastic Fiction, or to another publication, just remember to link the prompt!
If you include the topic “Fantastic Prompt Writing” in the stories that come from these prompts I’ll be able to easily find your stories and read them, and I would love to read them! So if you want me to read your story, include that as one of your five topics.
These prompts are meant to be a catalyst for creativity, so if the prompt sparks a story, even if it diverts from the original trajectory of the prompt, I’d love to read it!
Also, while I’m sending out prompts every week, it doesn’t mean there is a deadline for when you submit the prompted story.

Upon stumbling into the midst of a community of mythical beings, they are ready to execute your character to preserve their secrecy. How does your character convince them to spare their life?
Prompt Three
The Apocolypse has struck. All over the world, the power goes out and all electronic devices are fried and destroyed. It’s back to the dark ages. What does your character do to survive?
Novel Writing Prompt: Character One Journal Entry
Write a journal entry from the first character’s point of view at this point in the story. What are they thinking, feeling, and planning? How do they plan to achieve their goals and dreams now that they’ve experienced the inciting incident, and looming doom?
