Falling Asleep Again: I Hope I See You When I Wake

Yellow Butterfly Poetry

I can’t stay awake Reality kills me This is so new to me Yet, Dejavu is killing me

Stop, this isn’t new to me This is you again This is your doing

I wake up A thorn in my stomach I fall asleep I can’t hear Even if a horn is drumming

My beating heart It never sleeps The blood in my veins It weeps

The pangs in my chest They’re loud They speak

I’m falling apart But you can’t see

You left me alone again So, I’m here on my knees Wanting this all to end But it won’t This isn’t a dream

But I can still fall asleep Hoping when I wake up It’s you I’ll see
