Faith, Reclaimed

A never-ending poem

You were standing on a precipice. ’Til you found me in this edifice. Tears spilled. You’ve filled your head with lists. But now you’re here. You have come home.

You yell and scream and curse at me. You betray me with your blasphemy. You are hurting, child, and I can see. It seems your dreams were overthrown.

After all that life has put you through, I will always find the good in you. When you don’t believe, I still do. My love for you has only grown.

So whatever name you call me by, I have felt your pain. I’ve seen you cry. Take my hand and look me in the eye. I know your smile like it’s my own.

It is not your time. You’ve miles to go, And a purpose higher than you know. The road is rough. Just take it slow. And never will you walk alone.
