Faith & Gratitude — Dynamic Duo Rocket Ride to Wildest Dreams

“Faith is the rocket ride into unchartered territory to get to your wildest dreams.”
— Jen Sincero, “You Are a Badass at Making Money”
How is your faith holding up?
With everything going on in the world these days, perhaps you are finding your faith — in pretty much everything and everyone — is really being put to the test?
If so, I recently came across some wise words about faith that you might find of use. The faith I have been learning about (and practicing) pertains to the magnitude of faith we must develop if we really want to achieve our wildest dreams…as in, not just hoping to achieve but are truly committed to achieving AND are willing to put the work into doing so.
Wildest dreams, perhaps you’re saying? But the world is falling apart! Who has time to be thinking about something as selfish and frivolous as pursuing a personal dream?
Wise, prudent, and proactive people, that’s who. For what is the world but a collection of individuals? And the happier the individuals, the better the world. It’s not rocket science.
When it comes to achieving our dreams, we need to have faith in:
#1. Ourselves
#2. The people in our life
#3. Strangers
#4. Universe/God/Divine Intelligence
#5. The process
#6. The dream itself
To help crank up my faith in all of the above, I’ve been leaning heavily on Jen Sincero’s outstanding (and heavily highlighted) book, “You Are a Badass at Making Money; Mastering the Mindset of Wealth.”
“Faith is required if you’re going to upgrade from rickety to rolling in it,” writes Sincero, “because faith is the part of us that dares to believe that an unseen, unproven, and often proven otherwise, brand-new, and awesome reality is within our grasp.”
In other words…
You must have faith that a new reality for your life (and dare I say, the world) is even possible.
Not only that, explains Sincero, but your vision of that awesome new reality “needs to be mighty sturdy because you’re flying through some crazy stuff, much of which is trying to knock you off course. The life you’re determined to create depends on your rocket not falling apart.”
And what role does faith play in helping keep thy rocket ship intact?
Well for starters, faith helps you leave your past behind. You left it for a reason!
“Faith shifts your focus off the past, your old ways of doing things,” writes Sincero, “and opens you up to new opportunities, new Hows, that will create a new reality.”
As perhaps you’ve noticed in your own life and in the chaos of the world around us, shifting our focus off the past and away from our old way of doing things is not easy.
Many powerful forces — within us and around us — are doing everything possible to keep the status quo exactly as is.
Which is why it is imperative we have faith that there are much more powerful, wiser, non-human forces at work that can help guide us — as individuals and as a species — to a happier, healthier, and safer future for all.
“Faith strengthens your relationship with Universal Intelligence.”
– Jen Sincero
And in order to bring about the life we want — and the world we want — we must work on a) developing and b) strengthening that relationship. “Faith in the unknown and the miraculous removes your focus from what you lack,” writes Sincero, “and hones in on infinite possibility.”
“Faith allows you to release the need to know How it’s going to happen,” says Sincero, “and to trust that the way will be shown, and to take action before having all the answers laid out before you.”
That’s the kicker…
