February Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Statues”

Reflective deer sparkles under the sun.

As you may notice, there is a double meaning for the word ‘reflective’. One meaning is that the deer statue reflects light in a beautiful way. Lights bounce off different cut surfaces of the deer, causing shades of purple and blue. The spectrum of purple and blue gives out a dreamy quality that is almost fairylike.

Another meaning of ‘reflective’ here is introspection. Situated outdoors, the statue blends in with the natural landscape. As it looks out at the nearby bridge, the deer appears to be thinking about the wonders of life. This spot is perfect for contemplation as it offers both art and tranquillity.
