FLORAL POETRY CHALLENGE FOR HOPE DAY 6
Fairy Tale Rose
Sweet Diana
Beauty is in the roses. Magic is in the air. Yellow blooms strike poses. The morning is bright and fair.
In her castle, the princess sleeps, Behind her wall of thorns. Her lover a sad watch keeps. He hopes and prays and mourns.
Will yellow be the color of heart’s delight, Of warmth and life and joy? Or will he soon flee, no longer her true knight Another faithless boy?
Still, the sun is shining. The roses yet are there. The princess inside dreaming, And silence everywhere.
I thank Tapan Avasthi and Arjan Tupan for leading us in this flowery parade of celebration, hope, and welcome this week. Here are their latest contributions to our flower collage.
