Faded Past

Poem about memories

Photo by Hadija Saidi on Unsplash

Black and white memories Dark and light images Foggy and misty seasons Blurry and fuzzy colors Are now fading over the time

The days of joy and happiness The passion and emotions No longer remain the same The colors and seasons are not the same As they used to Everything has been changed

The youthful beauty The tender heart The innocent smiles The glittering eyes All turned into something new Which no longer linked with the past

We are heading toward the journey By decluttering the things This disconnection is harsh But everyone is experiencing it To embrace the new colors of life

The colors of maturity The seasons of ups and downs Worries and tensions Create a lot of questions

Do not be panic Embrace the mess And stay loyal to present It will lead to a beautiful future

Life is a continuous process — waiting for nothing — only heading towards the journey. The only thing that remains with us is the memories. These memories start fading after an interval.

Life has seasons, and each season has different demands, so why not bring change in life.

“Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.” — Henry David Thoreau

Live the life you have.

I would like to add Dan J’s words.

The color from our memories can fade with time. The love for one another has a different type of emotional color. A bright nuance that may last for an eternity.

Read A Colorless Past by Dan J, which inspired me to write some words about the past.
