Seems too many of us simply fade away… the pain always there, and the light always dark we allow ourselves to burn out when all we ever needed to do was fan the spark.

It sounded good when I first wrote it…

Then there are those of us who go out in a ball of flame, burning every bridge, and alienating everyone they know.

I’ve been both…

Ignorance is bliss… until it runs you down then backs over you just for good measure.

Would you want to remain ignorant of the fact that you were standing in the middle of the road while a huge truck was barreling its way towards you? Of course you wouldn’t. So why is it so many people seem to want to go through life with their heads in the sand?

Don’t look now but I don’t think you’re going to like what comes next.

Why do we race to the worst outcomes? As long as corporations are allowed to control our governments we will always live on the eve of destruction. Until we can’t…

We already have separation of church and state, do we need to add separation of business and state?

Like it or not, climate change is coming fast and something must be done to slow it down.

In her article, Technology Will be Our Doom, Katie Jgln points out the absurdity of it all.

I used to spend hours every night after work, postponing to go to sleep, to have a bit more of ‘me time.’ This phenomenon is so widespread now it even has a name — revenge bedtime procrastination. The ‘revenge’ aspect comes almost as an act of rebellion against ever-increasing demands at work, which leave many of us no time for leisure.

We just want some time to ourselves. To feel like ourselves. And then we have to get up to work again, and the only question is whether we check our phones before we pee or while we pee.”

I’ve long wondered why society must always act like a pendulum always swinging from side to side, one extreme to the other?

I’ve also pondered why is is we humans must always maintain constant growth to remain alive and prosper when Natural Law denotes we stay in check so that everyone has enough.

I don’t have the answers but I know we’ve been doing it wrong for a very long time.

When I was a child I was fascinated by dinosaurs, so much so that I took up fossil hunting everywhere I went. One place that was full of fossils was the recently cut road banks on US 58 in Wise County, Virginia. As my grandparents lived there I got to spend lots of time collecting fossils, so much so that my co-conspirators and I were sometimes forced to leave some of them come time to come home. On several occasions we found so many that it required multiple trips to carry them down off the mountain sides.

I studied everything I could get my hands on, and dreamed of becoming a paleontologist when I grew up. And while there are several theories on why dinosaurs became extinct, all agree dinosaurs were no longer suited for life on Earth, unable to evolve into something that was capable of surviving on a planet that was, and still is, rapidly changing.

To this day dinosaurs remain in charge, devouring everything they see in an unsustainable effort to survive.

Cheerleaders never won a football game.

You know you can’t deny it, and I challenge you to show me one instance in which the cheerleaders won the football game…

Yet, despite the fact that the cheerleaders never won the football game, businesses are launched daily that are nothing more than hype, provide nothing of intrinsic value to their communities, then file bankruptcy leaving their stockholders, investors, and the rest of the world to deal with their debts.

Sure, cheerleaders are pretty to look at, talented, athletic, and put on a great show that everyone loves to watch, but it’s the football players who win or lose the game. If you think differently you might as well go to Boot Camp, and find out what the world is really like.

We’re a sadistic society. People happily share posts about bad stuff. But people rarely share ideas about how to fix it.

Seems we are living in a world filled with anarchy and baffled dictators, all intent to control everything without the ability to control themselves. And all of them doing the same things.
