Eyes for a Heart

Ah, if only you could see my heart, so headily opaque. Lined long with the myriad of thoughts that keep me awake. About life and beyond, about questions and sighs. Catching deep meanings, sewn answers inside.

My eyes catch your drift when shut deep tonight. By daylight they miss nothing, try as I might. Lead with my heart, eyes search for creation. Advancing these words of present elation.

A beginning with no ending, with you and with I. Love seen first, we now all realize. Know when you look, only you will see — my heart, my eyes speak the otherworldy words — true Love be.

But try, dear one, when you sit down tonight, try to imagine my eyes with your light. Telling my lives with one sidelong look. A mere look, a mere look, was all that it took.

The look of my heart, eyes are a maze. You sit there and look into the past future for days. Love, catch my words, my pictures, my heart. For here they are sitting, rip my letters apart.

Dance with them till Tuesday, as they drift back down from the heavens. Watch while they flutter sweetly to all your senses.

Please, my Love, make them anew. So that yesterday, and tomorrow my heart sees all true.

Your kisses tell stories that speak of your mood. Your in’s and your outs and your blessed gratitude.

Your voice chooses to not stare, while your eyes only share. Please tell me, please tell me that you see my heart there.

Dance in the kitchen with me for bright days and deep nights. Promise, please promise to lead with your heartlight.

I close my eyes and kiss you, my Love for all days and all nights true.

While all my heart opaquely heady dreams too of all of the world, all the world interbeing in peace, with you.

Dear one, with all the love I have, please hold my heart tight.

Promise, please promise to lead with your heartlight.

With radical love,

Jenny Lane
