Extremely Miserable Fate of Hitler’s Favorite Children
Tragically Weird Story Of the Goebbels Children

Paul Joseph Goebbels, born in October of 1897, was a member of the Nazi party and propaganda minister of Germany.
He was a master propagandist under Adolf Hitler, as his compelling rhetoric was prevalent among the German folks. Joseph Goebbels was responsible for presenting a positive image of the German Third Reich to the people of Germany.
Joseph Goebbels and Magda had six Aryan children, and all of them had their names beginning with the letter “H” among these children, the eldest daughter Helga Goebbels, was the one who her father and Hitler most adored.
Goebbels’s family was close to Adolf Hitler, and at the time when Hitler used hundreds of children in his photographs, it was only the Goebbels family that was allowed to hang out in private.
Kids of the Goebbels family were very well mannered and well dressed. Why? They were always in the limelight because of their family connections with Adolf Hitler.
As the red army marched closer to Berlin, the Goebbels family made their way to the Fuhrer bunker, and with that came the family’s tragic end.
The children were given morphine, and then they were fed cyanide; as for the parents, Joseph shot Magda and then committed suicide by shooting himself.
Beauteous Goebbels’ Children, The Impeccable Aryans
Children of the Goebbels family were considered ideal by the Nazis. Goebbels’ children, with their blond hair and blue eyes, were someone that every German of that time idealized as far as the kids were concerned.
Taking special care of the children, the mother dressed the kids in a very fancy way, and she was often found combing the hair of these blond beauties.
All six of these Goebbels had their names beginning with the letter ‘H’, and no logical answer for this has been found yet.
Some believe the words started with ‘H’ to honour Hitler, while others say it was because of Magda’s ex-husband, who named their child herald, and that trend was later followed by Magda alone.
Adolf Hitler was not married till his last stage. Hence he didn’t have any children. Therefore, Goebbels was the closest to him. Goebbels’ children were known as Fuhrers or favourite people.
Charming And Jolly, Helga Goebbels
The first daughter of Joseph and Magda was named Helga, a child with mesmerizing blue eyes and someone who was never found crying.
She was the child with whom Hitler loved to spend his time. They would spend their time in the garden, and while Hitler and her father had a conversation.
Helga was purely a daddy’s girl, and Hitler equally loved her. Both drank hot chocolate and made random jokes. On one occasion, Hitler said if they were of the same age, they would have been the best match for each other.
Goebbels Planned To End It All, Before It Even Began
Mr and Mrs Goebbels planned to end it all even before the Red Army entered Berlin’s periphery and loss was imminent.
Magda played a crucial role in all this. She had an idea about what was coming, and knowing the Nazi policies, she was confident that the end wouldn’t bring any good.
Seeing the horrific things done by the Nazis to other races, Magda knew that the Allies would avenge their people, which wasn’t acceptable to the Goebbels. Joseph and Magda planned the murder of their children and the end of their family a month ahead.
Magda Goebbels didn’t want her children to live a life full of disgrace after the war had ended.
She believed if she was caught alive by the Allies, many things about her husband would get public, and if she chose to keep quiet, it would be against her morals.
Magda didn’t want the children to know about the reality of their father because people would despise and humiliate them.
Magda refused all the offers made by the people close to the Goebbels family, the suggestions made were that the children would be smuggled out of Berlin to a safe place where they could live for the rest of their life.
She even told close family and friends to have her back when the time comes and if she is two minded.
Implementing Suicide Plan After The Death Of Hitler
Following the death of Hitler, the Goebbels couple knew it was time to execute the plan that they had devised out of fear.
Hitler and his wife committed suicide, and it was Joseph Goebbels who became the chancellor of the Third Reich.
One day after the death of Hitler, Magda knew what she was precisely supposed to do. Still, she feared that if she tried to kill the children on the ground, no one would let her do it.
Breaking the endless confusion, she took her children and went to the bunker — a bunker where No one except the exceptional staff had access to.
On the 1st of May 1945, Magda tried to cheer the girls up and dressed them in white with lightly tied hair, nothing fancy like before.
Magda told the girls that they would get a shot of the vaccine, trying her best to prepare the little ones for an upcoming event.
It was Helmut Kunz who was pressurized to inject the shot of morphine, and later their mother Magda crushed the capsules of cyanide into her children’s mouths.
The End Of Goebbels Family
After Magda had done her part, she went to Fuhrer bunker, where she told Joseph it was all over while she was in shock.
At 9 p.m, Joseph and Magda went for a stroll in the garden of the Reich chancellery, and there the couple took cyanide to kill themselves.
The couple was shot several times as per the order of Joseph Goebbels, and later, both the bodies were drenched in petrol and burned.
Final Words
The children of the Goebbels family had everything, but what they didn’t have was time. These adorable little angels were killed for a war that was never theirs. What was their fault? A question which leaves me with no answer.
