Exploring A Tidal Pool at Drake Island Beach, Wells, Maine
There’s So Much to Discover at the Beach
Welcome back. As always I appreciate my readers. I enjoy writing here on Medium and also reading so many great articles. I recently wrote about a day at Drake Island Beach in the great State of Maine. So far it has been a fun vacation week.
This morning upon arrival at the beach, the tide was out so I decided to explore a tidal pool down the beach from where we set up. Since we arrived early there was plenty of time for such activities. One of my missions on this trip is to collect shells for our granddaughter. So far we have been fairly successful.
The tidal pool was fun to explore and contained a variety of life including crabs, snails, and tiny fish. I also was able to add a few shells to the collection. It also provided a great opportunity for photography. Following are some shots I took. Enjoy. I hope they provide some enjoyment for you and help take you to your happy place.
Furthermore, I hope you are enjoying your summer, and if you haven’t had an opportunity to get away yet this summer I hope you are able to at some point. As I have written about many times, it is important to change up your routine from time to time. Getting outdoors in nature is an added bonus.
