Experimental Words

Color by number and public eyes

I was tagged in on this little word experiment by Adrian CDTPPW. You should check out their contribution to this thread

as well as the post they were inspired by here

Both these writers chose to use the same set of random words.

Poem 1: wildflowers, songbirds, camels.

Poem 2: worms, candles, acorns.

So if you wanted to join in on this little challenge of sorts, you would not be remiss in using this set of words. Alas, as always, I am found sitting on the pavement outside of the box. I decided I wanted my own words, I know I’m sooo special, and I found a random word generator. I linked it at the bottom, so we can all be special. ;)

Color by Number

As I sat at the desk crossing out colors on the sheet and replacing them with my own imagination I took each corresponding waxy stick of pigment that childish stylus of wonderment and filled in the matrix to my own inscrutable ends most went on in their personal Crayola haze except for the gasp of excitement like a whirlpool gathering attention gazing into my magic eye puzzle

Public Eyes

Steppin’ off the car behind the suspicious chubby fella’ from seat 3A I had to listen to him snore the whole GD way Now I can barely off-board this blasted transport without being crushed to death by his hoggish physique I’ll saunter back on without so much as a blink from the other dozy mopes that think no one has a thing to gain from watchin’ people get on and off their mornin’ train That’s where you’d be wrong though wouldn’t ya There’s a sense of trust an implicit safety in the public fealty People always thinkin’ they can get away with damned near murder if they do it with a smile and a tip of the hat Well there’s eyes always upon ya ~~KEEP SCROLLING TO COMPLETELY READ~~

In an attempt to tag some of the other poets/writers I read with some different styles, or who I think could run in a slightly different direction with this: Benjamin Workman, Jessica Desai, KAKA LAM 嘉嘉 @iamkakalamkk, Mustapha El Hajj, Erie Astin, Rena Aliston
