Expand Your Imagination and Brighten up Your World

Introspective contemplations of expansion and healing

How many of the things do I fantasize about already exist in some form in my reality?

Dreaming is one of my favorite pastimes. Longer than I can remember, I always imagined the finer things of life with eager anticipation even on those family getaways — I was that type of kid that would stand the whole journey — soaking in the landscape and the unparalleled beauty of the moment.

I have always had big dreams and aspirations. My thought was that I must put to use this imaginative faculty. Growing up alone while my siblings were at boarding school meant that I had to find ways to enlighten my faculties for educational and entertaining purposes.

You are always a thought away from revolutionizing your life beyond your wildest imagination.

The idea of visualization didn’t dawn on me until recent years when I started to dedicate reserved time to it in my routine. I realized that my blessings emerged in my reality by constantly resonating on that wavelength with beaming feelings of gratitude and sheer expectation.

The music catapulted me into that zone of permeating stillness like no other. I would dive into expansive albums while revisiting my dreams.

When J. Cole said “his dreams could win Oscars” in a feature song — I genuinely felt the weight of those words because it was an activity I passionately enjoyed doing.

But lately, I have learned to apply discipline and accountability in forging those dreams to become a reality.

Dream big and unleash your potential to make it a reality.

How many of the people do I fantasize about already exist in some form in my present reality?

Relationships have the most challenging aspect of my life in terms of maintaining decent physical and mental wellness. I equally enjoyed being social with my friends and meeting new people, but I was also the type of person who would draw back from the crowd to tune in.

This unease would elicit me to burn bridges or not mend any relationships that did not respect or value those boundaries. Even though I was firm on such decisions, I still felt a sense of guilt that would linger on for some time.

Consequently, visualizing myself in a community of like-minded people would enable me to conquer those negative thoughts.

Over the years, I have built sustainable relationships with empathetic friends and relatives that value my authentic personality. Whether it’s through networking on various social platforms or live dialogues, I wholeheartedly cherish the many conversations of substance we have shared — even more so, those conversations continuously expand my philosophy of life.

In retrospect, this habit has provided me the appropriate headspace to value my loved ones and, more importantly, cherish this journey of growth.

How you think your life should be, whether consciously or unconsciously, it will make manifest.

Your mind is mighty powerful — better recognize.
