"Everything Happens For A Reason"
Say Goodbye To Worrying And Stressing!
“Everything Happens for Good” to help you spark that inspirational and motivational feeling.
Life is full of reasons and everything that happens to us serves a purpose. Our past experiences, no matter how difficult they were, have brought us to where we are today and have made us better people. It's important to remember that any challenges we face today will help us grow and reach new levels of success.
This is an old story of a king who had a very close friend with whom he grew up. The King used to spend a lot of time with his best friend. His friend had a habit of looking at every situation that ever occurred in his life (positive or negative) with optimism and remarking,
He always tried to look at things from different perspectives and find the positive impact of whatever happens in life, saying "Everything happens for a reason."
One day the king and his friend were out on a hunting expedition. They went into a dense forest and enjoyed the adventure. While hunting, the friend would load and prepare the guns for the king. The king took the gun from his friend and aimed at the target. When felt that the aimed animal was right on target, the king fired the gun. But in this instance, something unpredictable happened.
During a hunting trip, the king's friend accidentally loaded the gun incorrectly, causing it to misfire and blow off the king's thumb. Despite the shock and pain, the king received prompt first aid.
However, the friend's response was inappropriate. He remarked, "This is good, everything happens for good!" The king was understandably angry at his friend's insensitivity and replied, "No, this is NOT good!" He even went so far as to order his friend to be sent to jail for his mistake.
About a couple of months later, the king was hunting in an area that he should have known to avoid. Cannibals captured him and took him to their village. They tied his both hands, collected some wood, set up a stake, and bound him to the stake.
As they came close to setting fire to the wood, they noticed that the king was missing a thumb.
Being superstitious cannibals, they never ate anyone that was less than whole. So the cannibals untied the king and sent him on his way. As the king returned home, he remembered the incident that had blown off his thumb and felt sad for his treatment of his friend.
The king immediately went to the jail to apologize. The king requested his friend to forgive him and said. “You were right !!! It was good that my thumb was blown off on that day during hunting.” He proceeded to tell the friend all that had just happened and how cannibals freed him due to his missing thumb. The kind said ” I am very sorry for sending you to jail after getting annoyed on that day. It was a bad decision on my part. Please forgive me”
“No,” his friend replied, “That was good, everything happens for good !”
The king was surprised with his positivity and asked, “What do you mean, how was that good?” “How could it be good in any way that I sent my friend to jail for a couple of months?” questioned the king. His friend smiled and replied, “If I had NOT been in jail, I would have been with you. The cannibals would have killed me and made me their food.”
Whatever happens in life, happens for good. Every incident in life has a connection with future incidents, which we are not able to see at that point in time. We are only able to relate it back once that connecting future incident happens. When we connect those past incidents, we realize the significance. Therefore, we should always be optimistic and look for brighter parts of things.
The Story inspires me to practice gratitude in life. No matter what happens, it's important to be thankful for what we have rather than dwelling on what we've lost. We should focus on the positive aspects and view things as a whole.
