Everyone Has Their Price
Hey, when they say: “You’re a woman worth millions!” Come on, show me the millions. Just kidding. I’m a woman, but I’m not for sale. No, wait, that’s corny. Everybody has a price. Even me.
But my price is in a bizarre currency - middle-of-the-night kisses, when the body sleeps, but the soul is awake; in giving me the last bite of your ice cream; hugging me even when I’m a ball of nerves; loving me even then, when I’m not lovable.
Does it seem expensive to you? You see, it’s not all money, but it’s still expensive, it’s still hard to give of yourself, especially when you’re used to to buy with money, and not with attitude.
