Between the old and the new year, a short film arrives to tell us “Let’s hope it’s a 2022 of peace and not of war”
From the international organization Emergency, between the old and the new years, comes an intense video entitled “Everyone deserves a future”: it is a real short film to tell us “We hope it will be a 2022 of peace and not of war”.
The protagonist of the film is a woman, a mother, who has to make a difficult decision: to separate from her daughter and send her away, in order to shelter her and save her from the violence that affects her own territory.
It is a plot that does not even need words, a story that delicately touches the strings of emotion and tenderness.
“A story that, unfortunately, concerns many people in the world”, explains Emergency, at work in hospitals and in the major conflict zones on the planet. 82.4 million people have had to leave their homes and families due to wars, persecutions, assaults or human rights violations.
“Our wish for 2022? May it be a year of peace and not of war” concludes the international organization, whose motto is” Let’s take care of people. Good and free. And we will go on as long as we need us: because being treated is a right “.
“War must be considered a problem to be solved and not a destiny to be embraced” said Gino Strada, the founder of Emergency who passed away in 2021, leaving an unbridgeable void in Italy.
