even my Shadow Avoids Me.

This party has no end in sight I’ll punch out early that will be nice considering I arrived late uninvited in the middle of the night dragged out screaming blood-soaked steaming cut from a square hole that doesn’t fit me anymore too many edges now sharp enough to take your eye out or pop abandoned balloons lost and wandering at children’s birthday parties too tall to fit in the group photo too thin to be seen the parents patted themselves on the back for including me and giving back to the community whilst they ate food colouring and chicken periods perfectly packaged in hard shells stolen from helpless mothers placed me in the corner like a piece of old fruit discarded and forgotten my insides spoiled and grew rotten my brain stole food from the rest of my body leaving me starved and wanting to dream I never learnt how I tuck my thoughts into my pillow at night I practise telepathy but no one picks up on the other end even my shadow avoids me.

Hope you enjoyed,
