PROMPT: CONNECTION
Etymological Coupling
From the ground to the stars, one word distance

Com, the “together”, was flowing in the Latin speech, ode to non-loneliness, feeling already rich. Nectere, as “to tie, bind, unite”, was also whole by itself; no need to be attached on being in a pair, endlessly experiencing no inner warfare. Coming in humans in a moment of material’s “sleep”, they sensed how powerful it could be if two independent entities were merging freely into “we”. Oh, what a luminous “bridge” was drawn during their commingling! No distance between the stars and humans’ earthly living.
Connection<= Com(together)+nectere=to bind/tie/unite (in Latin)
People often feel connected, united, attracted to each other out of insecurity, narcissism, fear of loneliness, dependence, the need of possessiveness, or to fill a gap, and more. Though beautiful things are also experienced in that context, a really substantial connection has always autonomy as a prerequisite. Because without being free from things like that, we somehow bring them into the bond, provoking …short-circuits to the invisible “wire-system” of the connection.
Just like the connection between humans, for our unification with our upper counterparts/god/the divine to be fully uncovered, and for our connection with “it” to be gradually “upgraded”, we have to liberate ourselves, to deal with our personality’s inner battles, matters, and “monsters”; for luminous vertical bridges to be uncovered everywhere.
The story was written as a response to the Prompt: Connection. Thank you, Simran Kankas for choosing such a beautiful topic for this week’s prompt!
