Estelle, Your Early Readers with Name, MyLiBooks, Has Been a Tremendous Help to James
The important thing is the change I’ve seen in James. He constantly asks his mother what time it is because he doesn’t want to miss his hour with Tito.

When he first got the personalized early readers at Christmas, the thrill of reading his name in the books made him squeal with delight. To me, there is no better sound than the laughter from a child. Especially, when they read their name aloud from a book.
BTW, James is a Filipino. He, his mother, and sister live with me and wife.
James was having trouble in school. Because he couldn’t read very well, he didn’t want to sit still. He just wasn’t interested in anything. Recess was the only thing he enjoyed. This frustrated his teacher.
Now, the teacher has him read (in English) to the class every day on Zoom. Yeah, that has changed here too.
I wondered what I could do and started looking for ways to help, so I searched online for “books to learn how to read.”
But then, because I am a writer on Medium, I discovered Estelle Bardon’s MyLibooks through reading one of her articles.
One of my dearest writer friends, Gayle Kurtzer-Meyers, strengthened my belief that these personalized early readers could help my nephew James, when she wrote about these.
Using the Printables to Learn How to Read
Even though he’s gotten over the exhilaration of reading his name, he still loves to read the books and tell me the equivalent of some words he knows in Tagalog — Which is helpful for me too!
He and his older sister, Allyssa, love coloring the printables and reading the stories. I hope that other children, aunts, uncles, titos, titas, and parents worldwide will discover these books to learn how to read.
Whether they are English Second Language (ESL) or native English readers, these will help.
Thanks, once again Estelle, your books have been a Godsend for James. Your books are his pot of gold at the beginning of the rainbow!

It’s like the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Sometimes, the most important people in children’s lives can be their aunt/tita and uncle/tito or grandparents.
Helping your nieces and nephews learn to read can enrich their lives (and yours) and set them on the right path for life.

This is not an affiliate link. I will make nothing from your order of these beginner readers except the pleasure of knowing I helped another child find the joy of reading.
