Erase Me
A Poem
Erase me from your memory and don’t look back My presence did not exist nor did our love It was a fictional amalgamation of lust, loneliness, and idle time I don’t even know if it was real because the last time you looked at me I couldn’t believe that you ever loved me
Erase me from your thoughts and don’t search for me I won’t be there I won’t be anywhere We will never be even if we once were Two delinquent souls destined for a car crash but never for each other
Erase me from history and remove me from being Because I don’t even want to exist in the same plane as you and those venomous eyes and decapitated heart Leave me for dust Like how you made me feel when you overlooked everything about me
Erase me Period So you can’t find me or even traces of me No faded imagery of my smile No Polaroid in the top drawer Make it like I never existed Because after you that would be a gift Which is why I know you will never erase me
