Entangled Poets Among the Stars

Free-verse tribute to the Entangled Poets and all others who bleed scientific poetry

we’re a cacophonous lot (not what you thought from this crowd) eviscerating souls with quills, we fill in equivocating pages with passions and thrills we’re scientists and sages (we’re completely outrageous) we don’t give a damn what you think

we’ll drown you in ink as we all raise a drink to the entanglements that we all breathe

if you hate us then leave because we bleed loyalties poet royalty marching over your lands

we stand, hand in hand, defying time and space tempting the human race to reach higher, think harder, love better, be kinder this is your final reminder that we are the allies you want

pick a font, start your verse, try it out backwards, then reverse, spin it around with the expanding universe and pop it right in your mouth

don’t espouse to understand intersections of these affections in the Venn diagrams of our minds

if you proceed you will find we’re each one-of-a-kind yet – our friendships run richer than wine

we rhyme in our sleep, pray our loved ones to keep and write our hearts out in the stars

Dedicated to the incredible, life-giving, laughter-evoking, inspirational Entangled Poets of Twitter. You can find some of them here on Medium: Lisa Alletson, Shannon Mastromonico, Melinda A Smith, Deb Ewing, Bradley J Nordell, Andy MacGregor (yeah, he’s with us…)
