Enlightening
‘Multiplier of Five’ Poetry Series-Poetry#3

Opposite theories, confrontation, opinions cluttering mind, envisioning confusion hence crucial to enlighten as darkness prevails, not to inflict conflict,
to shade the light of science.
This poem is a part of the ‘Multiplier of Five’ Poetry Series, where I am writing 5 (five) poetries in 5 (five) days, each in precisely 25 (twenty-five) words, based on that day’s resolution. Today is day #3, poetry #3; the theme for today’s resolution is ‘spreading the knowledge of science in writing for answering a couple of argumentative topics while remaining respectful of not hurting any religious people’s mind, except replying to unrealistic notions.’
I’m hearing more and more about religious intolerances around the world and finding the events confusing. As a minority back in Bangladesh (my home country), I was always curious to know why many people treat minorities in specific ways and harass them in different situations. Even after coming outside the country, I have seen intolerance on various levels from different people around. And, I also wonder why there is distaste in science by many extreme-thinkers, who are promoting their views to guide conflict and hatred and claims to be kind-hearted religious followers. So, I started looking into the difference between the faiths, common and uncommon, how religions evolved, and their role, from a logical perspective. I have some interesting findings to share, which is not directed to start conflicts but to enlighten who wants to be enlightened. Hence, I’ll start writing on the project from today (update, already some great points captured!).
Yesterday’s highlight: I have taken a resolution for reading books every day, as I felt that I’m missing the pleasure of exploration, as I couldn’t regularly read books every day for the last year. So, from yesterday, I have started reading ‘Sarah’s Key,’ although, in the initial pages, I am delighted that I have started to read this first. The story of the timelines and the feelings, the tensions are amazingly written, made me glued to the book. Books on my upcoming reading are currently consisting ’21 Lessons for the 21st Century’ by Yuval Noah Harari (re-read) and ‘Memories, Dreams and Reflections’ by Carl Jung (thanks to Rebecca Romanelli for mentioning the book on her incredible words in ‘Dreams are Our Allies, Even if We Don’t Remember Them’).
Other poems of the series: The following are the previous two poems of the same poetry series for yours to discover. You are invited to join the challenge.
